The h-Ealing event held at The New Inn, in St Mary's Road, Ealing, kicked off at 1pm last Friday until 11pm for a day and evening of music from local bands.

As businesses across Ealing are slowly reopening their shaken doors in the wake of the riots, I thought it best to support the 'eat local, shop local' effort and headed over to Haven Green to enjoy a light lunch after deadline.

THE oldest person to be arrested in connection with the London riots was a 70 year old man in Ealing.

The pensioner, who cannot be named, was arrested on August 8 in connection with theft from a shop in West Ealing. He was later released with a caution.

Local artists from OPEN Ealing painted an abstract sunrise outside the Baby-e boutique, in Ealing Green, to brighten up the street following the disorder on August 8.

A REMEDY of music hopes to reignite morale and raise funds for businesses in the wake of the riots.

The #hEaling mini festival kicks off at 1pm this Friday (26) at The New Inn, in St Mary's Road, Ealing, with music from local bands throughout the day until 11pm.

The Hounslow teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at the Old Bailey this morning through video link.

Behind the broken windows of the Green Mango Cafe lies far worse damage, mostly caused by the gallons of water firefighters had to pump into the flat above and the Ealing Green Local Supermarket next door set ablaze by thugs.

FIVE men have appeared at court accused of stealing goods from an electronic store during the riots last Monday.

All were arrested in connection with the looting of Seba Electronics, in Uxbridge Road, West Ealing, which was ransacked during the riots.

FOUR women have been charged with stealing clothes from a charity shop and children's boutique store in last week's riots.

The alleged, all from Hammersmith and Fulham borough, appeared at Ealing Magistrates' Court last Wednesday (10) and have been remanded on bail to reappear on September 21.
