Bunny Park animals not hit by ruptured water pipe
A WATER pipe, which was damaged as workmen put up a new Zip wire at Brent Lodge Park, has not affected the animals as at first feared.
Hanwell photographer Damian Walker was walking through the Bunny Park in Church Road, Hanwell last week when he was told a ruptured pipe had affected the animals' water supply.
He said: "The workmen digging foundations for the new Zip wire next to playground ruptured a water pipe on Tuesday and the animal centre manager said they were still struggling to get the water supply back on Wednesday and were concerned about animals' welfare."
But Ealing Council stressed this was not the case as the water pipe only supplied the old bowling green and the animals were not affected in any way. She said the Zip wire, a new piece of equipment next to the playground, will be completed by the end of this week.
