Charity shopping bag packers helped raise more than £2,000 for the Haiti Emergency earthquake appeal.

On Saturday, 20 young people from the YMCA based in St Mary's Road, helped shoppers at Tesco in Ealing Broadway by packing their shopping.

Sarah Carruthers, Involvement Coordinator for West London YMCA said: "The young people came to me saying they wanted to raise money to help those affected by the terrible earthquake and wanted to do their bit to help.

"To raise £2000 was amazing and the money will help get emergency first aid for local people."

We'd like to hear from you.
