Ealing's Reaction to Arcadia Refusal
The Secretary of State published the decision to reject the Arcadia development proposal for Ealing Town Centre on Tuesday December 7.
Developers Glenkerrin applied to the Council to build 567 flats and 37 shops in seven tower blocks of up to 25 storeys high.
Despite Ealing Council's planning commitee and The Mayor of London's approval for the scheme to go ahead, the Inspector David Richards who heard the arguments for and against the development during a Public Inquiry held in June, recommended the scheme be refused and this was supported by The Secretary of State.
Since the decision was announced, The Gazette has been inundated with responses and we are inviting community groups and individuals to post their comments on the website and to contact the Gazette newsdesk.
