Ring lost in Ealing Hospital

A great-grandmother has been left heart-broken after losing her engagement ring following a visit to the hospital.

Eileen Mitchison is devastated as the 70-year-old ring served as a powerful reminder of her husband Archibald, who passed away in 1991.

The 88-year-old, who had recently lost a lot of weight, went to the hearing aid department at Ealing Hospital on October 1 before being transported by ambulance back to her home in Greenford Gardens, Greenford.

It is during this time, she noticed the ring had disappeared and her daughter, Sue is desperate for the ring to be found.

Sue Mitchison, said: "Mum's so very upset and it's broken her heart.

"After losing some weight, the ring must have been loose and fallen off her finger.

"The ring isn't worth much but it's got a lot of sentimental value to her."

The ring is described as a thin yellow gold band with three diamonds lying across the finger.

Anyone with information is asked to call Sue on 07958 399 846.
