Operatic society celebrates 60 years

THE Julian Light Operatic Society this year celebrates 60 years in Ealing with a production of Gilbert & Sullivan's "The Yeomen of the Guard" at Questors Theatre from November 11-14.

Named after Julian Avenue in Acton the society has, since its first show in 1949, provided local people of all ages with the opportunity for taking part in and enjoying Gilbert & Sullivan and other light opera, and to learn many aspects of stagecraft, music and singing.
