Ealing Arts Competition

Posted by Paloma Kubiak on Oct 29, 09 10:03 AM in Clubs/societies

A poetry competition deadline has been extended following the intermittent postal strikes over the last two weeks.

The Ealing Arts and Leisure competition will still be accepting entries until Monday November 9 and entry forms are still available to download from the website.

Under 18s can submit poems on the theme of 'Green' and the over 18s are being invited to write poems on any themes of their choice.

The competition will be judged by author and poet, Kit Wright, whose new books, 'Hoping it might be so' and 'The magic box - collected poems for children' will be on sale this autumn.

Winning entrants will receive £500 worth of prizes at the awards ceremony to be held at Ealing Town Hall on Friday December 4.

Forms are available from www.poetry.ealingarts.org.uk and can be hand delivered to 76 Milton Road, W7 ILE or 2 Carlton Road W5 2AW.

We'd like to hear from you.
