A poetry workshop is being held tomorrow to inspire would-be poets taking part in this year's borough-wide competition.

Last year's poems will also be read out loud at the Chiswick Book Festival at St Michael's and All Angels Church, Bath Road, Chiswick tomorrow (26) from 2.30-4.30pm. The readings tomorrow will be followed by a workshop with useful hints on how to write your first poem. Entry forms for the competition will be available.

The competition is organised by Ealing Arts and the theme for 18 years & under is: Green. The over 18 years category is open for any subject. Closing date for entries is October 23.
The prizes, to a total value of £500, will be presented by Kit Wright during an evening of literature at Ealing Town Hall on December 4. For more information telephone 020 8997 7131 or look on the website: www.ealingarts.org.uk.
