EA-downh6.jpgA care home in Ealing celebrated their inspection success with a party for all the staff and residents.

Downhurst Care Home in Castlebar Road, Ealing, was awarded three stars during an inspection by the Care Quality Commission.

The home was also assessed as 'excellent' which is the highest possible rating and they wanted to toast their success with a party which included a huge cake, a sing along and lots of fun.

Rea Williams, Manager of the home, said: "It was a lovely sunny afternoon and we went out on the patio and speeches were given as well as big thank you's to all the staff and residents.

"We cut the cake, drank our fizzy drinks before singing 'We are the Champions'.
"The residents were telling their stories and it was a lovely day.

"I am extremely proud of the team and their excellent achievement - Downhurst is a very special place and the Care Quality Commission report described Downhurst as 'a home with a heart'."

Downhurst is the second oldest home in the borough and was established 61 year ago.
It is a not for profit charity registered home for 25 people and staff say the home has become part of the community.

We'd like to hear from you.
