Chemical Spill in Ealing

Posted by Paloma Kubiak on Sep 8, 09 09:42 AM in

Firefighters were called to a semi-detached house in Ealing on Monday evening to contain a chemical spill.

Two fire engines and around ten firefighters were called to the two-storey house on Clitherow Avenue after a small amount of mercury spilled out from a broken barometer.

The chemical was neutralised and removed from the premises by the crew from Ealing and Southall.

The Brigade was called at 6:09pm and the incident was over by 8:58pm
