Sainsbury's and M&S back Meadow House Hospice appeal

Posted by Jane Harrison on Aug 11, 09 03:03 PM in

TWO leading stores have joined forces to give a major cash boost to the Meadow House hospice appeal to raise £250,000 for a vital extension.

Sainsbury's in West Ealing has set a £25,000 fund-raising target after customers chose the hospice for this year's charity and M&S in Chiswick, which made the same choice, are selling personal alarms through the Safer Neighbourhood initiative.

M&S has already held an inter-store football tournament and Sainsbury's is holding monthly fund-raisers and its manager, Trevor Rasmussen, (cor) who is 16 stone, has gone on a sponsored slim.

We'd like to hear from you.
