Next week will see the return of the popular St Barnabas Church Prom season, guaranteed to cater for all classical tastes.

Guests are invited to attend the proms and can simply turn up as there is no need to book tickets.

On Monday July 20 at 7.30pm, a Russian string trio (Yuri Zhislin and friends) will kick off the three week Proms with Bach's Goldberg variations, and Hugh Mather will play Mozart's G minor piano quartet.

On Wednesday July 22nd at 7.30 pm Kokila Gillett (violin) and Pavel Timofejevsky (piano) will play Mozart's violin sonata and the Franck violin sonata, and will be joined by others to perform Dvorak's immortal piano quintet.

There will be a special lunchtime concert on Friday July 24 at 1pm when the Pirani Horn Trio will play pieces by Mozart and Brahms.

The renditions continue with Viv Mclean (piano) performing piano quartets by Brahms and Faure on Friday evening.
