Ealing mum talks of life-saving campaigning after son's death
Mum Claire Prosser speaks for the first time about their anguish following the death of her son, Tom, aged 14, from an undiagnosed heart condition.
Since Tom's death two years ago she and her husband Paul Clabburn have been pivotal in the national charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY)raising £20,000. The couple are backing the latest screening at Brentford FC this weekend which could help to save lives.
At the nationwide Test My Heart Tour 09 screenings in May and June, backed by Philips, w young people can have free ECG (electro cardiogram) or Echo (ultrasound) scans to check how the heart is functioning.
The final screening, sponsored by Claire and Paul, are at Brentford FC, Griffin Park, Brentford today until Monday. (June 26-29). To book a slot log onto: www.c-r-y.org.uk.
