Ealing MS Branch Finalist for Award

The Ealing branch of the MS Society has been chosen as a finalist for the 'MS Campaign of the Year Award' which recognises people who have made a real difference to those affected by the disease.

After a four year campaign for a neurological rehabilitation team following the closure of the MS Unit at Central Middlesex Hospital in 2004, the branch was successful in establishing a multidisciplinary team of nurses and specialists in 2008.

By the end of 2008, the new 'ENable' team had seen more than 100 people with MS and is now extending the services to people with other progressive neurological conditions.

The awards ceremony takes place in May and winners will be announced at a Gala Lunch on May 1 at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington, London, to coincide with MS Week.
