Young budding artists are exhibiting their festive work to raise money for a charity.

The "Paint for Parkinson's" show was launched for children aged 8 -17 to raise money and awareness for Parkinson's Disease Society.

Artist Soula Zavacopoulos launched the competition in October after being inspired by her grandmother who was diagnosed with Parkinson's. She said: "Ealing has so many talented children and it's wonderful to see them help raise funds and awareness for Parkinson's through their creativity.

"The events has really fired up their imaginations, enthusiasm and their work is simply amazing."

The youngsters contributed their pieces and 30 have been shortlisted with a chance of winning over £300 worth of prizes.

Their winter-themed works are also available to buy as Christmas cards.

The exhibition is taking place at Pitzhanger Manor, Walpole Park, Mattock Lane until January 5 2009.
