Hybrid bus trials in Ealing
Envirnmentally friendly hybrid buses will go into service in Ealing this
month as part of a trial by Transport for London.
A fleet of five single-deck Optare buses will be introduced next week (DEC
8) on route E8, which runs from Ealing Broadway to Brentford.
Other models of hybrid buses, which use a combination of electric power and
diesel fuel, are being tested elsewhere in the capital. All London buses
are expected to become hybrid by 2012.
