The company in Eastman Road, was issued with an enforcement notice in December 2007, but after an appeal, bosses were given a stay of execution.

On Tuesday September 23, the planning inspector ruled in the council's favour and the company now has seven months to stop using the site.

Failure to comply is a criminal offences and managers could face a £20,000 fine.

Councillor David Millican, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Transport, said: "Companies can't be allowed to get away with flouting planning laws.

"The site is totally unsuitable for this kind of business and the company has been making its neighbours' lives hell, with cars coming and going at all hours of the night.

"I'm pleased the Planning Inspectorate upheld our decision that the company must leave."
